Pop-up libraries have proved extremely popular over the years, and this year READ will continue the legacy of promoting reading in a fun, impulsive way through this vehicle. Instead of using the Pop-up library as a platform for disseminating free books to all and sundry, the focus will be on capturing children’s attention through exciting storytelling presented by the ever-popular Mrs Book character.

The READ team has remained steadfast in the commitment to empowering South Africa’s disadvantaged youth by nurturing a love of books and a passion for literacy, and remains confident that this activity will continue to achieve that goal.
